Whether you are roughing it in a tent in the middle of the woods or sleeping in a luxury RV, there are a few things to consider before heading out to your adventure.
Campsite
Maybe being in the middle of nowhere and digging a hole to relieve yourself is your jam. If it isn’t though, you might want to consider a campsite Cleburne TX with amenities such as electrical hookups, bathrooms and running water. Some campsites even have pools, basketball courts and playgrounds to keep the whole group entertained.
Food
No one wants to spend all their time during a camping trip making food or eating campfire roasted hotdogs every night. Luckily there are so many meals you can prepare beforehand for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks!
- Breakfast– Add chopped peppers, ham and bacon to a ziplock bag with a couple of eggs and store them in a cooler until you are ready to boil them in water. Wrap premade breakfast burritos in tin foil and freeze them. Then they can thaw in a cooler until you are ready to roast them over a fire.
- Lunch– Please even the pickiest of eaters with classic peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Precook some bacon, slice up some tomatoes, and you can easily throw together some BLTs at the campsite.
- Dinner– Throw in some cooked and frozen taco meat, a few cans of beans, corn and diced tomatoes, and some Fritos, and you have yourself a delicious meal by just heating it all up in one pot. Shredded pork or chicken can also be made at home and reheated at the campsite to make delicious sandwiches or baked potatoes for dinner.
Weather
You can usually tell what the weather will be depending on what time of the year you are planning your camping trip, but it is always a good idea to double-check a few days in advance just to be sure you don’t need to pack that rain jacket.
With a little planning and prep, more than just the kids can have fun camping.
